About Walnut Creek, CA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Situated in Contra Costa County, California, Walnut Creek is a medium-sized city with an estimated population of more than 67,700 residents. Lying in the eastern region of the San Francisco Bay Area, the city serves as a centre for its neighboring cities due to its accessibility via Bay Area Rapid Transit, junction of California State Route 24, and Interstate 680 (California).

Four Mexican land grants divided today’s Walnut Creek. One of these land grants was given to Juana Sanchez de Pacheco. In around 1850, Ygnacio Sibrian, Juana’s grandson, built the first roofed home and named it Rancho Arroy de Las Nueces y Bolbones after the native species of tree and local group of indigenous Americans in the valley.

After the Mexican-American War ended, a small settlement by the name of “The Corners” came into being. The town wasn’t home to many settlers for some time, but things began to change when William Slusher built a dwelling on the banks of Walnut Creek. He was the first American to do so and Homer Shuey, Hiram Penniman and Milo Hough followed closely.

In the late 1800s, Walnut Creek started to experience meager growth with the arrival of the Southern Pacific Railroad service. In the following years, the town continued to grow and soon enough it was large enough to be incorporated as the 8th city in Contra Costa County. In 1951, the creation of Broadway Plaza established the city as a major retail center.

Walnut Creek was revitalized with the new niche and the population more than tripled from 1950 to 1960. As of today, it’s one of Bay Area’s most interesting towns with a thriving downtown and rich cultural history. With art venues, public libraries, plenty of open spaces, restaurants and a shopping plaza, the city offers something for everybody.

Five public school districts serve the students of the city with the Walnut Creek School District encompassing one middle school and five elementary schools. Walnut Creek is also home to a variety of private institutions, some of which include Walnut Creek Christian Academy, The Seven Hills School and Berean Christian High School.

Walnut Creek receives 21 inches of rainfall and 1 inches of snowfall per year. With the average high in summers around 86 degrees, having a reliable air conditioning system is essential to you and your family’s comfort. Moreover, since the mercury drops as low as 40, investing in a heat pump is recommended for keeping your home nice and warm.
